Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM)
Marche Polytechnic University (UNIVPM) is a public university located in Ancona, Italy with a student population of approximately 17,000. The Department of Odontostomatologic and Specialized Clinical Sciences (DISCO) offers clinical training and conducts scientific research in a variety of fields, including food sciences and applied dietetic techniques. The Department of Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Sciences (D3A) carries out scientific research, teaching, and contract work in several areas, including food science, agronomy, and agricultural engineering. The combined expertise within DISCO and D3A aligns with the priorities of MAHINE and will help the project team to define the project’s nutrition-sensitive approach for capacity building in Angola.

José Eduardo dos Santos University (UJES) is a Public Higher Education Institution in Huambo, Angola. The mission of UJES is to develop high-level academic and professional training activities, scientific research and university extension in all areas of knowledge. UJES offers various health-related programs and is working on offering postgraduate courses. With a focus on innovation and community engagement, UJES plays a crucial role in advancing education and knowledge in the region. In the nutrition and food sector, UJES has courses in aquaculture, agricultural engineering, agrarian management, agricultural production, food technologies, and nutrition and dietetics. Due to the variety of careers related to the project, the UJES will have a central role in the partnership, being a reference institution for the construction and adaptation of a Euro-Angolan model of sensitive nutrition.
